Ernestina was born in Hong Kong. She began her piano study at age of seven. She completed her performance study in Karol Lipinski Academy of Music, Wroclaw, Poland and LUCA School of Art, Leuven, Belgium. She attributes her great percussion and marimba inspiration to Professors Ludwig Albert, Jacek Wota and Shoko Sakai.

She discovered the extraordinary and marvelous sounds of the marimba, the instruments upon which she enthusiastically dedicates much of her time and energy on. It has become a passion.

She has won a numbers of awards from music competitions including second prize in the 10th International Music and Arts Festival Competition in Saint Petersburg and also she was the winner of the 8th Saint Petersburg Music Student Competition in 2012.
